We stayed here for just under a month. The apartment was just as it looked on the photos. Upon arrival Joao met with us and showed us around, he was very helpful and made sure we were settled in / ensured we knew how everything worked. Hugo and Joao both gave us their contact detail and we’re very easy to get in touch with if we needed anything. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. We had access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. The WiFi was great which allowed us to work remotely. There was a washing machine that was easy to use during the stay.. and my favourite thing was the large balcony with a great view.The apartment was in a good location, about a 10 min walk to Albufeira old town. I had seen a lot of people say that it was a hard walk back up the hill but we managed it every night with no issues. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants close by. There was a lovely bar on the complex called Casa Do Corro which had fabulous cocktails and sisha! I would recommend going here if you stay. (It’s slightly tucked away so give it a search on the internet if you can’t find it).The only area on the complex that could perhaps do with a refresh was the communal swimming pool and main restaurant which was a little dated. However, on the plus side it there were always plenty of sun loungers available if you did decide to chill out there. Other than that everything else was good during our stay! The apartment is on the 3rd floor (in American standards) with no elevator so be prepared. Because there is no A/C it can get quite stuffy. We were there in October and always kept the windows open. The beds are firm, not the most comfortable but they have contour pillows which was a bonus. The apartment is has great amenities and the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. There were a few Dolce Gusto pods provided, salt, oil, pepper, a few extra things, and extra trash bags, soap, dishwasher detergent but no laundry detergent was provided so may be good to bring your own or ask the host just in case as most things were well stocked (we did not).This was a great spot for a week stay and even longer. We enjoyed the view, the bright natural light, and also the apartment and rooms are well lit (except the bathroom). The location is good- 10+ minutes walk to the beach, playground. Much closer to restaurants and cafes. There are several grocery stores within a few minutes walk. Host communication is excellent. I think it’s good to communicate with Hugo if you have any concerns because he was very responsive. We ran out of soap on the second day and he quickly brought a refill! We would stay here again! We got ubers back to the apartment when we couldn’t face walking back up the hill. The swimming pool and restaurant bar facilities was really good on sight. Staff and people very friendly. The room itself was excellent. Very spacious and had everything required for our stay. Very clean and organised couldn’t fault it at all. Hugo was an excellent host. He checked in at the beginning off our stay to make sure if we needed anything. He helped us with getting a taxi to the airport. We thought there was a mini supermarket on site but there wasn’t. But Hugo was very informative and gave us a selection for what we would need. We would definitely recommend to anyone who is travelling to Albufeira and we hope to be back again some day. Read moreAbsolutely perfect apartment for couple or family! We stayed with in Hugo’s place for a week and loved it. The place was clean, tidy and exactly as advertised on Airbnb. The apartment is spacious with everything that is needed within! Oura beach is only a five minute walk from the apartment, and they have a parasol in the apartment that can be used. There is space for a car in the basement car park, however we just used Uber to get around Albufeira (€4-€8 to get to the old town). The only thing to note is that this area is close to the strip in Albufeira which can be quite loud. As I am a light sleep I used ear plugs as there can be some light noise at night. Hugo provided clear and helpful instructions before we arrived in Portugal about taxis to and from the airport which was very useful. The apartment itself was clean and perfect for our week long stay (although we defiantly could have stayed longer). The pool and bar/restaurant facilities were also very nice. The apartment is located at the top of the hill and about a 20 min walk into the old town. We didn’t mind the walk but if that’s something that would trouble you then it’s definitely something to consider (taxis/Ubers are very cheap though). All in all it was a lovely stay, thanks Hugo. It is exactly like in the pictures with stunning sea view and you are just a couples of minutes walk away from the beach. Our 2 minor complaints were 1) There is a bad smell in the bathroom. 2) The internet connection/Wifi is a bit shaky. You will probably not notice this if just casually surfing, or watching Netflix, but we were working during on our stay and video calls etc disconnected often. Read moreThe place is on top of the hill in a residential complex of holiday apartments. I really enjoyed the quiet and peace outside the season as I came there for a writing week. It’s about 10 - 15 mins walk to the escalator that takes you to the amazing beach of Albufeira. Not all restaurants are open in winter, but those that are serve the most incredible freshly-caught fish and seafood. It also has a great view of the sunset over the beach of an evening from the lovely balcony. It’s also very easy to find and the check in and key pick up couldn’t have been any easier. He was very attentive, and communication was prompt. The apartment was cozy and had everything for a short or long-term stay. The view from the balcony was amazing with all the sunrise and sunsets, and I liked the neighborhood as well. Beach and old town were within walking distance. Plenty of loungers. We hired a car and it was only a 5 minute drive down the hill into Albufeira (where there was a free public car park) or to the beach.
